In most of the books, graphics and blank space take up as much as 40 percent of the pages. Most pages are cluttered with visual materials. They are of similar size (8 inches by 11 inches) a similar number of pages (about a thousand) and a similar weight (about seven pounds).Their titles are vaguely nationalistic but not patriotic (United States History, The Rise of the American Nation ,American Odyssey, The American Journey).The text has an authoritative tone.
